Produce or contract a business

Have you thought of a business idea or at least an industry you’d like to create a new side job or business, but held back on fear of lacking knowledge or not enough cash to hire additional employees to fill in your weak points?

Think of this strategy – act as a contractor would to build a house.

The contractor plans, arranges, and organizes people of expertise to perform their skilled part in order to complete the whole project of building a house – pour the foundation, build the framing, lay the bricks, install electrical, plumbing, drywall, add a roof.  Every task required a different person of expertise to do the work you couldn’t do yourself.

Same as a film producer.  Producers arrange selected individuals for writing, casting, location scouts, directing, filming, editing.  Tell each department what you want and work together to complete each piece of the project or business.

With the internet evolution, more doors are open to new entrepreneurs and side job finders as locating freelancers in many industries all over the world are at your fingertips.

Want to produce a book but not confident in your writing abilities?  Sketch up a rough draft of your content, then find a freelance writer, editor, and illustrator to complete the final draft.  Many professional authors use this tactic and have found the right team of individuals to make them successful.

How about a business website?  There’s numerous freelancers out there that can be hired to design a site, copywrite the content, market the website, and even sales.  Whatever you don’t want to do or don’t know how to do, there’s someone out there who’d do it for you because that’s what they love.  Could you find a handful of writers and produce a content site like the wildly successful Huffington Post?

What field are you interested in creating a business?  What kind of individuals would you need to hire to make up your team and produce a final business?

Today’s possibilities make an endless list of options.
